NEW DELHI: Recently, the product reviews and ratings website Consumer Reports shocked the technology community by not recommending users Apple MacBook Pro laptops due to its battery performance. The website didn't to give a 'recommendation rating' to any of the three new MacBook laptops claimingly due to their inconsistent battery performance.This is the first time that an Apple device did not get a 'Recommended' rating. "The MacBook Pro battery life results were highly inconsistent from one trial to the next," Consumer Reports said.Apple SVP of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller later tweeted that the Cupertino-based technology company is working with Consumer Reports regarding the issue and that the results do not match the lab tests. "Working with CR to understand their battery tests. Results do not match our extensive lab tests or field data," he said in the tweet.
For the 100-year-plus history of the automobile, cars have generated plenty of emotions. But those feelings have occurred in humans. Honda is looking to change that dynamic, and is ready to showcase how at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next month.
It's called the "NeuV," and according to Honda it's "a concept automated EV commuter vehicle equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) called 'emotion engine' that creates new possibilities for human interaction and new value for customers."
"Harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, robotics, and big data to transform the mobility experience, Honda today announced that 'Cooperative Mobility Ecosystem' will be the theme for its participation at the 2017 [CES]," the automaker said in a statement.
AI, robots, big data - these ideas are all the name the of the game now in the auto industry, as it continues to merge, sort of, with the tech industry.
Silicon Valley and the citadels of automaking in Detroit, Japan, and Germany are now closer than they're ever been. The concept car that Honda is bringing to CES is exhibit A.
